Aint food great!

Well, two weeks into a training regime and last night was murder! I stumbled through a 10k treadmill session on Saturday and was so chuffed that I repeated it on Sunday.
Last night (Monday), was a quieter session, just a 5k then some upper body machine work.
The problem was that when I got in I was
a) really tired - might have something to do with the fact Ive been filling a skip all day
b) very hungry, but as the training is doing so well I managed to avoid food but boy, was it hard!
Anyway, onwards and upwards - Ive still got one stone to go!

Duplicate iTunes
Aaaarrgghh! iTunes can be so frustrating!
I love the way it "organises" your songs and have meticulously sorted my MP3 library so that every song is properly tagged and labelled. My little Tosh tablet hasnt got enough storage space so I managed to blag an Iomega 250Gb portable drive so that I can store all my apps as well as all my songs and pictures.
Next, which media player and photo organiser should I use?
Lots of alternatives, Winamp Lite came a close second to my final choice... which was iTunes!
I have managed to get hold of a slightly illegal 'thinstall' portable version of iTunes but it only works on XP and the Tosh is Vista. The solution was to hold down shift when I load iTunes and create a new library on the portable drive. Dragging all my songs from my work PC, work laptop, linux workstation and Tosh added about 15,000 songs but unfortunately many of them were duplicates.
You can get iTunes to show you the duplicates, you can even get it to tell you which files arent actually on the hard drive, but it just wont let you go through them and delete em! Its almost like its just sticking its tongue out at you after pointing out how inefficient you have been.
Arrgghhh again!

IPhone rocks!

I just love my iPhone! I have to admit, I didn't rush out and get one at 6:01 on the day of release as it was a Friday and my Work Life Balance meeting got in the way! Instead, I trundled along to my local O2 store on Saturday Morning and handed over £269 of plastic for a lovely box full of gadgetry. That was it! I was expecting the usual hour of filling in forms, credits checks etc, but no, you just take your iPhone, plug it into your PC and iTunes does the rest.
There are many things that Apple havent got quite right, but look out for future posts on hacking the iPhone and things they got wrong!
