Well its been a few weeks since the last post, and this one is really just to say that I'm still alive and the project ain't dead.

I can honestly say that the last few weeks have been the most stressful that I have experienced as a teacher. The move into the new build, the laziest year 11 on record and the NUT strike have all conspired to pile the pressure on. Never mind, Saturday is stalyvegas 10 so after a dozen or so beers things will start to seem better!

Oh, and Monday is the absolute deadline for gcse coursework so the pressure is off!

Time Machiner

This is a really useful tool for sending email at some point in the future. When you first hear that statment, you will probably think "so what?" but then after a while, you realise the potential!

New focus

After a difficult and challenging week, I have decided to refocus this blog a little. Previously, I have thought about including posts about teacher/ICT/humour related entries with a geekie tech sort of feel.
This just didn't fill the gap though, so I looked at a multipage kind of blog with different aspects on each page. This would have been fine but I may have occasionally expressed a political or adult (read swearing) post that may upset some colleagues, teachers parents or shock horror, students!
I did set up an account at wordpress, a really cool and capable tool that fits the bill nicely, but didn't solve the 'sensitive user' problem.
The solution was to split the blog. From now on posts re elearning, teaching, vle's etc will be at www.horbury.wakefield.sch.uk/strict where you find the fully proffesional persona of Phil Waud whilst the person that most people know I actually am will post here. Expect irreverence, childish humour damn right in-pc ness here!
its never the twain shall meet to, so you may come across a vague reference from here to STRICT, but never the other way round. Most posts to 24 cans will be done via email or on my iPhone so they may occasionally be text heavy and lacking finest until I've pc'd em!

Enjoy, and spread the word!
